Uttara Swami Malai Temple

Uttara Swami Malai Temple populated as Malai Mandir (literally, Hill Temple), is a Hindutemple in New Delhi situated on the affluent Palam Marg primarily devoted to Lord Swaminatha also known as Lord Murugan, most respected by the religious Hindus of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada community in the city.

The Uttara Swami Malai Temple, formally called Sree Swaminatha Swami Temple, organizes the Temple of Lord Swaminatha. It is located atop a small hillock in Sector-7 in R.K. Puram and disregarding Vasant Vihar in South West Delhi. This is in reminding of the tradition of locating Murugan temples on hills. The sign outside the Uttara Swami Malai Temple is written in Tamil, demonsrating Lord Swaminatha's motto, "Yaamirukka Bayamain" which meant to "Why fear when I am there?". The Uttara Swami Malai Temple is built completely of granite, and is evocative of the Chola style of South Indian Temple Architecture.
